Bud ("we," "us," or "our") is a pet health tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. By using Bud, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information You Provide

• Account information via Apple Sign In (name and email address)
• Pet health data you enter: pet profiles, vet visits, vaccinations, medications, weight records, and notes
• Photos you upload for pet profiles and AI portraits

Information Collected Automatically

• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• App usage analytics (screens visited, features used)
• Crash reports and performance data

Local Storage

Your pet health data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This means your data stays on your device by default and is protected by your device's security features.

Cloud Sync

If you enable cloud sync, your data is synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. CloudKit data is encrypted in transit and at rest and is governed by Apple's privacy policies. We do not have direct access to your CloudKit data.

We use the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat — Manages subscriptions for Bud+. Processes purchase tokens and subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Mixpanel — Collects anonymized app usage analytics to help us improve Bud. No personally identifiable information is shared. See Mixpanel's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini— Powers the AI pet portrait feature via a secure proxy. Photos sent for portrait generation are processed by Google's Gemini API and are not stored by us after processing.

• To provide and maintain the Bud app
• To sync your pet health data across your devices (when enabled)
• To process your Bud+ subscription
• To generate AI pet portraits
• To improve the app through anonymized analytics
• To send important service notifications

Your pet health data is stored locally on your device and in CloudKit (if sync is enabled). You can delete your data at any time by removing pets or deleting your account within the app.

When you delete your account, all associated data is removed from your device and CloudKit within 30 days. Analytics data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to you.

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification — Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — Request deletion of your data
• Portability — Export your data in a common format
• Opt-out — Disable analytics in app settings
• Non-discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

California residents: Under the CCPA, we do not sell your personal information. You can exercise your rights by contacting us at the email below.

Bud does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
